By popular demand, Y BONT IS BACK, complete with this new web site www.carrogybont.co.uk. This website has no connection with any previous or existing website with a similar name. We are limited in our resources and we can only continue with voluntary help and your literary contributions. Y Bont gives us a voice and we know it is read by councillors and politicians and as a result there are many benefits to be gained for Carrog and Parc from your contributions. Sometimes the pen (or printed word) really is mightier than the sword.
Ysgol Carrog is celebrating its centenary in February. On Friday February 6th there will be a concert in the Neuadd at 6:30 pm. On Saturday 7th and Sunday 8ththe school and Neuadd will be open where there will be old photographs, a chance to share memories and a cup of tea. A warm welcome to all.
We welcome to the community Callum, born to Brian and Trudi, Aaron born to Alun and Jo, and Tomos born to Kath and Alun.
We also welcome our new band ‘The Local Bois’ and the Corwen wind and string ensembles who now practice regularly in the Neuadd.
John, Nia and family who have returned to the village and the new Carrog Plumbing Services in the form of Peter, who will no doubt be known as ‘Peter the Plumber’. Congratulations on the marriages of Ian and Nia Hewitt, Colin and Elen Roberts. Also to Rhys and Valmai who celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary at the end of 2008.
